you can go in many different directions, all depending on what your trying to use it for.... the link above provided me with other great links and resourecs from building your own solar power system to a fully contained system ,.,, all I know is those panels cost an arm and a leg and are breakable
Also.. this is a good company with solar options...

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 12:40 PMOk, this isn't solar related but it IS about wind power....anyone checked out the vertical wind turbines? Here is a link to one in action, and you can poke around & finds all kinds of freely available plans to build them yourself for a lot cheaper than buying one...

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 3:30 PMI remember the year SCI was at Wavy Gravy's Pignic. Off to the side there were 6-10 stationary bicycles that were being powered by volunteers (?) to provide power for the show.
