Well - this was an epic run... I am still reeling from the fabulousness of the past week.
Here are the set lists from Friends of Cheese - the Denver shows were all amazing... I had not been to that venue previously and am now kicking myself for not having attended prior WCs - very cool place and lots of strategically placed bars!

1st night was quintessiential 2001 Cheese... Friday was a TRIPPY show; and Sat night...well, I tihnk Blue Grass Devo sums it up nicely. The 1st show at Vail started out a bit weak, I think due to the RIDICULOUS heat in that place (seriously - people were dropping like flies... something to do w/ a power outage in West Vail preventing them from running the fans at full power I believe) - but 2nd set was right there... and 2nd night of Vail - well, it's one of my top 5 shows for sure - out of nearly 100. The 2nd Encore I am SURE was not planned b/c it put them well past midnight and 1st night's show ended at 11:50.

3/27/2007 Dobson Ice Arena - Vail, CO

Set 2: Sometimes A River, Rivertrance, Got What He Wanted > Will It Go 'Round In Circles > Got What He Wanted, Ring Of Fire > Billy In The Lowground > One Step Closer > Drums > Rollover
Encore: The Bridge, On The Road

3/24/2007 Fillmore Auditorium - Denver, CO (Sat.)

Set 1: Restless Wind, Cedar Laurels > Rhum 'N Zouc, Midnight Moonlight, Eye Know Why, Love Is Like A Train, Valley Of The Jig > Smile
Set 2: Doin' My Time1, Wheel Hoss1, Whip It1 > Orange Blossom Special1 > Whip It1, It Is What It Is, Galactic > Shine
Encore: Piece Of Mine, Sittin' On Top Of The World > Texas

Set 2: Bumpin' Reel, The Way You Do The Things You Do, Desert Dawn > Black Clouds > Drums > Desert Dawn, High On A Mountain Top, Little Hands, Pack It Up, Miss Brown's Teahouse
Encore: This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody), Dudley's Kitchen

3/22/2007 Fillmore Auditorium - Denver, CO (Thu.)

Set 1: Johnny Cash, Round The Wheel, Black And White, Farther, Black Market > Mouna Bowa, Close Your Eyes
Set 2: Ride Captain Ride1, Best Feeling > Can't Stop Now, 45th of November, Solution, Joyful Sound, Way Back Home
Encore: Outside and Inside > Jessica

Guests: 1 with Polyphonic Spree

Seriously... how can Billy leave when they are playing like this? I didn't think they could improve upon Eugene, but jeez... these shows were amazing.

I found it really interesting to talk with a bunch of different people and pretty much everyone had a very similar experience and thoughts on all the shows. I missed Thursday night but going by the 4shows I did see, I would put them in this order:

    1) Friday 3/23
    2) Tuesday 3/27
    3) Saturday 3/24
    4) Monday 3/26

I did think Monday's was weakest but still it had some gems. Windy Mtn was the best version I have ever heard. Got What He Wanted>Will It Go 'Round In Circles > Got What He Wanted was terrific and The Bridge was another highlight for me. And who would have thought that an ice arena could be so hot? It was nice 2nd night 1st set when they had the doors open but then for some stupid reason they closed them for 2nd set.

The second encore was semi planned. Jellyfish> Black Clouds Reprise was supposed to be the show closer, with Cottonmouth> I Know You Rider planned as the encore. They obviously ran out of time and did the Jelly>Black as the encore, but then when the crowd was screaming, begging, for more, they came back and did the second encore. I think they still planned on doing Cottonmouth first but Kyle kind of stole the lead and did Boo Boo's with the rest of the band giving him, um... interesting looks.
Thank you SCI for this whole run, and especially Tuesday night which was really special for me. At my 150th Incident in London a few years ago they played me a song I had been requesting for years and never heard, a Chili Dawg, finally. Well Tuesday night on my 200th Incident, they saw fit to grant me no less than 7 requests, and there were even more on the original setlist but the second set got changed when Drew showed up. If that isn't love I don't know what is.
I cried a lot this weekend, but I laughed even more. I don't know what it will be like when there is no more String Cheese Incident, but I know it feels just as good right now as it ever did, and I'm going to milk every Incident and every moment we have left because I'm not even close to being done with these boys yet.

My personal rankings of the weekend, not that it matters, cause it was all good
    1- Tuesday night
    2- Friday night
    3- Saturday night
    4- Monday night
    5- Thursday night

200th Incident! Wow! Go Daev! Shouldn't you be working for the band by now? I am really hoping they play enough shows this summer for me to hit 100 w/o Bonnarroo which is not part of my summer plans.
Daev! I am so glad I could see you up at the rail groovin' now that I know it was your 200th! And 50 incidents since 2004 is pretty impressive in and of itself!
