I have been waiting patiently to announce this incredible cross-pollination- ROUND 2!! On June 13th Izabella will be playing an after-party to the Railroad Earth CD release at Dulcinea's and we will have Tim Carbone joining us. Railroad Earth is ripping up the scene right now, playing many of the big summer festivals, and they are releasing Amen Corner at The Ogden Theater on June 13th and 14th. The guys in Izabella will be honored to share the stage with the incredible fiddle player from one of the deepest bands around right now.

Izabella may not be the biggest show out there, (and I hear BTS is on the other side of town that night, too) but from my view as a musician, their music is really transparent, in a good way. Transparent like a Mozart piece. Perhaps I'm crazy, but even if you have never heard the music before, you feel like you know what is going to happen. I don't know; I've been studying music in school for years and might have a different understanding of music than most concert goers. I've seen them a few times and don't notice many people engrossed in their own conversations while the music is going, everyone seems interested in the music.
Should be a good night, RRE and then Izzy. Siddhartha is right, RRE has got some of the deepest musicianship out there right now, and if Carbone is playing with Izabella, then Izabella must have a strong rhythm section and good improvisation skills.
